Krisinda "Kris" Williams, Professional Counselor Associate, BHC
When life presents challenges to your mental health or relationships there is an opportunity for hope, resilience, and resourcefulness. Working with me is one way to find your path forward through difficult times. I believe everyone has the potential to achieve positive change, in order to increase well-being and an overall healthy quality of life. It takes courage to seek a fulfilling and happier life and take the first steps forward toward change.
My therapy style is warm and interactive. I am compassionate, curious, and trauma informed. I believe that counseling support helps people feel less isolated and alone when facing life’s difficulties. As a behavioral health clinician, I practice an integrative approach, grounded primarily in humanistic philosophies but also implementing cognitive-behavioral techniques. The therapeutic alliance is essential to effective counseling, and I strive to provide a safe, nonjudgmental space where trust can be fostered and built. My part is to aid in finding answers that are needed to optimize well-being while providing support and unconditional acceptance.
I provide both telehealth and in-person services and I specialize in anxiety, trauma, depression, TBI, substance use, behavioral change and relationship struggles. Together we will explore your experiences and attitudes while we work on a framework for meeting your therapy goals.
I am a Board-Certified (NBCC) Professional Counselor Associate, registered with the Oregon Board of Licensed Professional Counselors and Therapists (OBLPCT) and I am a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor through the Mental Health and Addiction Certification Board (MHACBO). I completed my Master of Science Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Southern Oregon University.
